1st Choice Completes $2M Renovation & Build Out on Spring Cypress Church

Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church

Tomball based commercial and residential roofer and general contractor, 1st Choice Roofing & Construction, has completed an extensive $2 million dollar renovation for Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church in Spring, Texas. In addition to both interior and exterior renovations, the project included the construction of a new building on the campus.

Renovation & Beautification

“The exterior of the church was refinished and the roof replaced to give it a new, hill-country inspired design per the client’s request,” explained Martin Morales, Co-Owner of 1st Choice Roofing. “We opened up the back and sides of the main worship building, adding onto the existing structure to allow for more seating, a large sound booth, and a spacious atrium where members can socialize and mingle. Honestly though, what I’m most proud of is the stained wood ceilings and natural stone facade in the sanctuary. It’s really stunning.”

The interior remodel involved the expansion of the main worship building to add new restrooms, a comfortable “cry room” where parents with babies can view the service, a larger library, a state-of-the-art sound booth with new audio/visual equipment, and a renovated stage area. 1st Choice also installed new ceilings, flooring, seating, lighting, walls, and windows.

A Beautiful Sanctuary

“It is our prayer that this renovation will make the church more accessible and more beautiful to the community of Spring, Texas,” says David Muntsinger, Senior Pastor of Spring Cypress Church. “Our new sanctuary is a tangible expression of God’s grace and beauty in this fallen world.”

Exterior Renovation & Build-On

“The exterior of the church also received extensive remodeling,” says Chris Rochester, Co-Owner of 1st Choice Roofing. “We built on an expansive porte-cochère, several covered porches and walkways, installed a completely new exterior facade, a new roof, and provided a new parking lot. The result is that we took 70’s era construction and transformed it into beautiful hill-country style architecture per the churches desire.”

“It was a sincere pleasure working with Chris Rochester and Martin Morales at 1st Choice Roofing & Construction,” concludes Muntsinger. “From start to finish, he’s been committed to excellence. He treats his clients with professionalism and exceptional service.”
